How does the step-up transformer change the voltage?

The transformer is made of electromagnetic induction. It consists of a core made of silicon steel sheet and two groups of coils wound on the core. The core and coils are insulated from each other without any electrical connection.
The coil connecting the transformer and the power supply side is called primary coil (or primary side), and the coil connecting the transformer and the electrical equipment is called secondary coil (or secondary side). When the primary coil of the transformer is connected to the AC power supply, there will be changed magnetic lines in the core.
Because the secondary and coil are wound on the same iron core, the magnetic line of force cuts the secondary and coil, and the induced electromotive force is generated on the secondary and coil, resulting in voltage at both ends of the coil. Because the magnetic field line is alternating, the voltage of secondary and coil is also alternating. And the frequency is the same as the power frequency.
The manager demonstrated that the ratio of the voltage of the primary and secondary coils and the ratio of the turns of the primary and secondary coils and the ratio of the turns of the primary and secondary coils of the transformer are related, which can be expressed by the following formula: the more turns of the primary and secondary coils and the coil voltage = the number of turns of the primary and secondary coils and the number of turns of the coils, the higher the voltage. Therefore, it can be seen that the secondary coil is less than the primary coil, that is, the voltage drop transformer. Instead, it is a step-up transformer.
